My most recent project “Caterpillar” consists of new research in the themes of identity and representation.
For the new works I used old photographic self-portraits taken over the course of several years. These old photographs were first torn apart, recycled, moulded into new shapes and then painted.
With this work I want to investigate the need for images, specially those of the self in a moment in time when we get bombarded with billions of images on a daily basis.
